Rather than believing or disbelieving the 2012 prophecies and predictions, perhaps it might be best to consider them a possibility that should be considered. You may want to hedge your bet and be prepared to make the best choice, whether the prediction is true or false. Do not sell your home and stand on a mountain top. But, be prepared just in case.

If 21 Dec 2012 will in fact be an End of Days prophetic moment, then what could happen on that day, or in the near future shortly after? According to Christian prophecy, the major End of Days events will be a rapture, followed by seven years of Tribulation, which includes the rule of the Anti-Christ, and followed by the return of Jesus Christ to defeat evil and establish his kingdom on Earth for one thousand years. If the rapture does occur in the year 2012, then the seven years of Hell on Earth would end in 2019.

You really do not want to be on Earth during the seven years of Hell on Earth. According to the Book of Revelations, most of the population of the planet could be killed during that time. Revelations 9:13-19 is a prophecy of a 200,000,000 man army killing one third of the population of planet Earth. About the only nation on Earth that could have a 200,000,000 man army is Communist China. So, many would see this as a prophecy that Communist China will kill one third of the population of planet Earth, during the seven years of Tribulation. Other prophecies in Revelations gives other large numbers of deaths. Clearly most of the people on Earth could die during the Tribulations.

If you love yourself and your love your family, then you want you and your family to be raptured to avoid all of the suffering and death on Earth. How can you make sure that you and your family members get in on the rapture? Rather than trusting a human for an answer to that question, why not ask the one source that knows for sure what the answer is, and does not have to speculate or guess. Prey and ask God the following questions. Will there be a rapture and seven years of Tribulation on Earth? What must I do to escape the Tribulation through the rapture?

How can I see evidence that the predicted time of destruction will occur, and it will occur very soon? There is prophecy regarding this in both the Jewish Bible, or Old Testament, and the Christian Bible, or New Testament. In Joel 2:31 we read: "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come." In Acts 2:20 we read: "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come." War, earthquakes, and famines are also predicted in Mark 13:8.

So, what could cause all of this? This is of course speculation about the interpretation of prophecy. The Sun is darkened during a Solar eclipse. The moon looks red during a Lunar eclipse. Greater gravity effecting the Earth could stress the Earth and trigger a massive number of Earthquakes. So, what could cause all of this? One possibility would be a huge comet, like a small moon, passing between the Sun and Earth, with its tail covering the Moon. The Sun would be darkened, the Moon would be a reddish color, and the gravity effect could trigger global Earthquakes.

This is of course speculation. But there will be signs in heaven. So, no matter what the cause will be, watch for signs in heaven, and be prepared to be saved by God.
